Like us you may have felt that life has accelerated since the pandemic began. It’s hard to pinpoint why or how but things seem to have become busier for many of us. There is always something else that needs our attention; doing the shopping, looking after the family, feeding the pets, getting to where we need to go, helping the community and doing our jobs. That doesn’t even include the kinds of things we like to do such as spend time with friends and our hobbies.
With so much to do, organising your medicines can just add to the list. Anything that can make it easier to access your medicines with the right advice when you can fit into your day has to be a good thing?
Join the hundreds already taking advantage
We agree. That’s why we established Preston’s first 24/7 prescription collection service in early 2021. Over 800 patients have registered to use the service so far with more joining every week. Here is what it involves and why so many have found it helpful:
- The machine is a little like a secure delivery locker that you might have seen elsewhere.
- You access the machine from outside of the building so that you don’t have to come in and complicate things if all you need is to collect.
- If you have registered for 24/7 collection we’ll store your medicines safely inside the machine when they have been dispensed.
- They’ll be in a prescription bag as usual.
- When we put them in the machine you’ll receive a text to let you know they are ready for collection.
- The text will have a pin code that you enter into the machine to retrieve your medicines.
