Understandably we get asked a lot of questions about Covid from people looking for help. We’ve pulled together some of the answers in one place to make your life easier.
There can’t be many people on planet earth who haven’t heard of Covid. If they do exist in some remote, cut off place they are the lucky ones. I’m sure that we all wish we hadn’t heard of it either but seeing as how it is here we are all busy trying to get on with our lives despite the impact.
At Broadway Pharmacy with Cure Clinics we’ve stayed open to care for you and your family throughout the pandemic and even extended our opening hours to include Sundays to help. Going through a reinvention and completely redesigning our premises during a pandemic isn’t something we’d like to repeat but it has put us in a position to provide the best healthcare possible now and in the future.
All along we’ve worked hard to provide professional, evidence based advice and care and we’ve tried to dispel some of the myths while providing guidance and support you can rely on.
Here are some of the common queries we’ve had along with the answers to help you find your way.
Do I need a Covid passport to travel?
Some countries and airlines now require individuals to provide evidence of a negative SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) PCR test prior to travel. When considering where to travel check the most up to date information about which airlines and countries require a certificate. It is a reality of foreign travel for the foreseeable future that we are going to need to be more careful and provide proof that you are safe when you travel. For your own benefit and that of those travelling alongside you.
We provide a Fit-To-Fly Covid-19 home testing kit and international travel certificate which will help you prepare for a journey.

Do you have any lateral flow tests?
To begin with there wasn’t a reliable way to test whether a person had Covid-19 that was fast and easy enough for anyone to use. In recent weeks and months however, Rapid Lateral Flow Coronavirus (Covid-19) tests have been made available and Broadway Pharmacy with Cure Clinics has been able to supply them to people who do not have symptoms.
Anyone who does not have symptoms of Covid-19 can collet up to 2 packs of 7 rapid lateral flow tests at a time. You don’t need to make an appointment and can pop in when it suits you.
The NHS provide more detail about the tests themselves. Take a look here.
If you do have symptoms you need a different type of test called a PCR Test. You can learn more about those here.
Do you provide Covid vaccinations?
Information about Covid vaccinations in the media has been varied and details of who can access a vaccination, where and when has, at times, been confusing. Naturally people have been very interested in the topic and that means a lot of media coverage.
At Broadway Pharmacy with Cure Clinics we decided shortly after the pandemic began that we were going to do all we could to help. After establishing the first, pharmacy led mass vaccination centre in the country in Autumn 2020, to provide flu vaccinations, we were in a perfect position to join in with the national effort to vaccinate against Covid-19.
We set up and operate the Lancashire Vaccination Centre located at Grasshoppers Rugby Club, Fulwood, Preston which has, to date, vaccinated many thousands of patients against Covid-19. Patients have been able to book via the national booking system when invited or called to do so. Since launching the Preston site in February 2021 we have also set up vaccination centres in Clitheroe and Colne.
So the answer to this question is most certainly yes, but not at our Broadway Pharmacy with Cure Clinics site.
